Carol A. Starkey recently represented the
Boston Bar Association in Washington D.C. to meet with the Massachusetts Congressional Delegation and advocate on behalf of Legal Services and discuss issues of over-incarceration, mandatory sentencing, and related matters important to Boston practitioners. While in D.C., Carol met with Senators Warren and Markey, and Representatives Capuano, McGovern, Clark, Moulton, Kennedy, Tsongas and Lynch. Upon Carol's return, she reported to the BBA that, "We are incredibly fortunate to have such a talented group of men and women giving a voice to all of the hard working men and women throughout the Commonwealth on legal issues that affect their daily lives."
