About the presenters
Kirsten Z. Young
is a Trial Attorney with over 20 years of experience in the legal community and serves as Chair of the Firm's Family Law Group. Her practice includes all aspects of divorce and probate litigation, as well as criminal defense. Kirsten handles a variety of issues surrounding domestic relations law such as alimony, child support, custody, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, as well as paternity and actions for modification and contempt of existing orders.
Nadia Abuelezam, Sc.D.
, infectious disease epidemiologist, s an assistant professor at the Connell School of Nursing and an epidemiologist. Nadia has expertise in biostatistics, mitigating health inequities for minority health, and data analytic approaches in public health. Her current research focuses on immigrant health with a focus on women’s health and mental health outcomes. The goals of her program of research are to use quantitative methods and novel data streams to better understand the inequalities in health care distribution and access in resource poor settings and vulnerable populations.
