Print Full BioAndrew has a diverse litigation practice primarily focused on business litigation, professional liability defense, and employment law. In particular, he has considerable experience representing employers and employees in claims regarding trade secrets, non-competition agreements, and disputes over compensation. Andrew also has litigated insurance coverage claims, represented landowners in real estate disputes, and has defended attorneys and medical professionals in malpractice actions and disciplinary proceedings. He successfully has represented investors in arbitration proceedings before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
Andrew has been selected as a "Rising Star" by Law & Politics and the publishers of Boston Magazine in 2008, and 2010 - 2018. In 2011, Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly recognized Andrew as one of twenty "Up and Coming Lawyers."Andrew has been active in public policy initiatives at the Boston Bar Association. - Obtained Chapter 93A award of multiple damages and attorneys' fees on behalf of packaging distributor following six-day Superior Court trial.
- Represented commercial real estate developer in litigation against casino operator for breach of exclusivity agreement.
- Obtained settlement of 15 times net out-of-pocket losses on behalf of elderly investor through mediation of FINRA arbitration claim against broker/dealer.
- Represented venture capital firm as second chair at FINRA arbitration in California resulting in award of multiple damages and attorneys' fees to firm client on account of prime brokerage firm's improper execution of margin call.
- Employment Litigation / Counseling
- Obtained preliminary injunction on behalf of information technology firm to enforce non-competition, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreement against departing employee.
- Represented both employers and employees in the prosecution and defense of trade secret claims.
- Represented financial industry analyst in claim to recover unpaid bonus from multinational investment advisor.
- Obtained award of overtime wages and punitive damages on behalf of pro bono clients following two-day Superior Court bench trial.

- Significant role in Supreme Judicial Court briefing on behalf of prominent Boston law firm in first-ever U.S. appellate decision recognizing attorney-client privilege as to intra-firm communications. RFF Family Partnership, LP v. Burns & Levinson, LLP, 465 Mass. 702 (2013).
- Defended numerous legal malpractice actions in a variety of practice areas, including litigation, commercial real estate, conveyancing, and employment law.
- Represented foot surgeon as second chair at two-week Superior Court medical malpractice trial resulting in defense verdict for firm client.
- Represented nurse practitioner as second chair at two-week trial of medical malpractice action regarding claims of permanent brain injury allegedly caused by negligent drug prescription.
- Criminal / White Collar / Regulatory
- Represented public employee as second chair at week-long Superior Court criminal trial arising from alleged procurement fraud. Significant role in Supreme Judicial Court briefing concerning interpretation of statute criminalizing false entries in corporate books. Commonwealth v. Biagiotti, 451 Mass. 599 (2008).
- Obtained dismissal of felony counts of conspiracy and larceny against information technology professional following complaints by disgruntled former client.
- Assisted senior partners in firm’s representation of subjects of federal and state criminal investigations, including health care executives, lobbyists, and attorneys.
