Barry has a broad based corporate practice that includes representation of closely-held and family businesses, start-up and emerging enterprises, and professional practices. He also provides advice and counsel to executives of both public and private companies in connection with the negotiation of employment agreements and separation arrangements, including analysis of restricted stock, option, phantom rights, appreciation rights, bonus, deferred compensation and other long-term incentive plans. Barry takes the time and the initiative to learn about the business of each of his clients and their respective operational and growth objectives.
Barry often serves as a business advisor to his clients participating in many decision-making processes and providing general legal counsel. He is a highly experienced business negotiator and draftsperson, having handled successfully numerous acquisitions and sales of companies, strategic partnerships, development, licensing and distribution agreements, vendor and supplier contracts, equity based financings, bank financings, lease transactions and other business matters.
