Alexis joined Conn Kavanaugh’s litigation department in 2011. She maintains a diverse civil and commercial litigation practice with a focus on complex insurance coverage disputes, professional liability, and employment law. Alexis has extensive experience representing and advising insurers in cases involving bad faith claims and high-exposure losses. Alexis has represented clients in state and federal courts in Massachusetts and Connecticut and before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. Additionally, Alexis serves as the Senior Associate Editor of Conn Kavanaugh's Massachusetts Employment & Business Litigation Resource blog.
Alexis was a summer associate with the firm in 2010. Prior to joining Conn Kavanaugh, Alexis served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Timothy S. Hillman of the United States Court for the District of Massachusetts and to the Justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court sitting at Suffolk County. Alexis graduated summa cum laude from Suffolk University Law School in 2011 with numerous individual honors. During law school she was an editor of the Suffolk University Law Review and a member of Suffolk’s National Moot Court Team.
Alexis is an active member of the Boston Bar Association, and was recently selected as a member of the BBA’s 14th Public Interest Leadership Program Class. She also is a member of the BBA’s Business and Commercial Litigation Section’s Steering Committee and has served on the steering committees for several Boston Bar Foundation events.
Since 2015, Alexis has been selected each year as a Massachusetts Rising Star by Thomson Reuters and the publishers of Boston Magazine, an honor given to the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state. In 2018, she was awarded the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association Rising Star Award, which is presented to one attorney each year.
