Beth focuses her practice on employment law and employment litigation, representing management clients and executives; business litigation; and alcoholic beverages franchise litigation and licensing. She has extensive litigation experience in state and federal courts, and before administrative agencies (MCAD and EEOC) defending employers in all aspects of employment-related matters, including wage and hour, discrimination and unlawful termination claims. She advises employers on issues involving best employment practices and procedures, as well as state and federal employment laws and regulations that impact the workplace including the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans With Disabilities Act, and numerous other state and federal laws. Beth also prepares employment policies for employers and conducts training for management and human resources personnel. In addition, she advises and negotiates on behalf of her clients, employers and executives alike, in the area of employment, severance, non-competition, non-solicitation and change in control agreements.
Beth has written and lectured extensively on a variety of employment subjects, including as a chapter author of the MCLE Publication "Massachusetts Employment Law;" a faculty member of annual MCLE employment discrimination seminars; and author of "The Law At Work," published in Cape Business Magazine and Plymouth County Magazine.
Beth’s business litigation practice involves general civil litigation of commercial and business disputes in court and arbitration and mediation forums. Her alcoholic beverages practice involves the representation of wholesalers, importers and manufacturers in franchise litigation before administrative agencies and trial and appellate courts and the representation of clients seeking alcoholic beverage licenses.
She was named to the 2019 and 2020 editions of The Best Lawyers in America® for her work in Labor and Employment Litigation.
